Mankato Composite Squadron sent an aircrew to the Mississippi River Valley to assist in the search for missing boaters.
Mankato Composite Squadron was contacted to assemble and aircrew early Sunday morning to assist in the search for a family missing after a boating accident on the Mississippi River near La Crosse, Wisconsin. The aircraft searched until end of the day without success. The members of the Cessna 182 aircrew members were: Major John Barsness, Mission Pilot Master Sergeant John Vanderhoof, Mission Observer Second Lieutenant Nate Stoeckel, Mission Scanner For the rest of the story, see the following article: La Crosse Tribune
